Last night i made this photo of myself and illustrations that i have made in last days. Always after midnight the mad inspiration just gets me. It's not that i'm very fond of darkness, it must be something else. Maybe it's the silence? I just don't feel "awake" before it's already late (at least at winter).

I hate going to sleep, waking up is even harder. I guess i'm not a morning person and never will be. But again, it's so sad how i'm wasting all the mornings of my life. I would love to change that.

Making different works lately,
there is not that much sadness and depression in them.
And i dont understand... why
Nothing has gone better or happier.
Exept my art.
Its just..what
my hand is doing.
Like hand is not part of me.
It sounds crazy i know.

But it should be a good thing right?
Tho i've never been fan of "happy" art.
But i guess it doesnt have to be very dark and sad either always.

I must be more open about it.

Spring is here,
i feel so reliefed.
Finally i can breathe.
Winter just kills me everytime.
Don't get me wrong.
I love snow. I love how pure it looks. And i love how it melts.
I love drinking hot drinks after coming from cold weather.
And the taste of first snowflake.
Its all great.
But i just start falling
everytime in those cloudy winter days.
Its so cold, there's no sun.
Everything you breathe in is pure cold.
And
then the falling starts.
I feel sad more often and often
and
then spring comes.
And finally i can breathe.
And it feels like freedom.

I always like to be on floor with large sheets of cardboard.
I have scissors and a ruler.
I measure straight lines
and i cut it pretty straight too.
It's the time i enjoy.
There.. on the floor alone.
I love to be alone... but not lonely.
But here alone...it's so nice.

i would like someone to be here
to look at me
and reading some poetry to me.

When i started drawing it, then i was thinking about Samson, song by Regina Spektor.
I was thinking how special i felt when my friend was singing that to me.
But,
when i finished this drawing.
I saw something else in it.

I feel very exited, cause i'm really think about changing my painting style. I'm very tired of those full acrylic paintings that looks...flat. Yes...flat. No life in it. I've always felt that this not for me. I need to show more freedom...and i wanna add more LIFE in my paintings.

So..here i am. With that sketch made on super thin cardboard. No primer. just cardboard and pencil. And i think about adding some colors tomorrow with acrylics, but i will not make a full acrylic painting. I will be enough brave to not cover all the cardboard. And i'll try to use acrylics a bit like a watercolors. We'll see. I feel really really inspired... and maybe
maybe
there will be no turning back.
I hope so!

I guess it's because of march.
It's like a full moon.
Makes me feel weird. ..and act weird...
Every year...
I think its because
that march is the first month of spring.
Well.. you know. Pink thunderstorms and baby blue clouds.
Melting snow....and sun that looks so different now.

It's almost like falling in love.
It's the best time to create art.

I tried to draw a self-portrait yesterday. Didn't liked it.
Then i changed the sketch a lot.
Now there's a nude girl
who doesn't look like me at all.

I've realized how my paintings titles has been changed with time. There was a time when it was all about love. But now there's just... life. Not so much real emotion what really counts.

I remember when i painted "love love love"
It was 2008 summer
I painted this with freedom. I guess it was freedom.
Love makes me feel that way. Free ..and so stuck at the same time.
Even when it hurts.
Its just the best condition to work for me. It's my freedom. How strange is that.

And i was watching a great romantic movie...with a really really great soundtrack...
And there was those words in that songs
"love love love"
said with a perfect melody ..and with calmness.
And it was just so perfect song and mood for this painting.
And that's where the title is from.

It was the first painting i did sold.

This picture is inspired by the Cranberries song "Linger" and the music video of it.

Do you know the feeling when someone important is fading from your life. Slowly. And your head is full of questions... .."Do you have to..." "Do you have to let itlinger" "Do you have to go away".

This painting is about these questions... and the pink represent a little part of her what is still believing... and gray is her lovers feelings... A goodbye.

Girl just ain't ready to say goodbye.

I think very often WHY am i doing this. Why i paint, why i write, why i take photographs. Most likely the biggest explanation could be that i feel such a big urge to create something.... anything.

And is it enough for a reason?

Maybe there is not just a ONE answer.
After all ..i just like working with colors, i like finding the right composition and i just love playing with words.

And even when i have all those little reasons...
Is enough...to be a good artist
or photographer...

Sometimes i just don't feel right.
But i can't keep myself away from all this...ART.
